Actually this is not the same admin creating 1-million-usd.net. Most likely it is a person copying the .com in order to steal more people's money.

My bad, it is the same. In the back office of .COM it recommends we email their new site address and transfer existing funds to their new .NET program. Looks hopeful.

That .net not properly managed as .com. Both are the same though.
Look at support center on .com's site.
